Pastoral Care

A full time Chaplain is on staff at Meadowood Manor. He visits residents and tenants at the facility as well as residents and tenants who have been hospitalized. The Chaplain is available to provide support and counselling for all residents, tenants, family members, and staff'; or will coordinate referrals to clergy of other faith traditions.

Memorial Services

In recognition of those who have passed away while at Meadowood Manor, a Memorial Service is held to celebrate their lives. The memorial service involves a short prayer service, followed by a reception where sharing of memories by fellow residents, family, and staff takes place. The memorial service provides those who are unable to attend a formal funeral service the opportunity to say goodbye.

Spiritual Care

The Chaplain conducts programs to encourage spiritual growth and social interactions. These include bible studies, sing-a-longs, and other special events. An inter-denominational church service is held every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. In addition, church services with a particular denomination can be arranged in consultation with the Chaplains as required. Catholic Services are held on the third Friday of each month.

Funeral Services & Arrangements

End of life decision can be a very difficult and stressful time for loved ones. We require all families to pre-arrange all funeral preferences at the time of admission. If no pre-arrangements have been made or family is unable to be contacted at the time of death, a local funeral home will be called. Our Chaplain is available for funerals of memorial services upon request.
